Noise Management
Pitt Meadows Regional Airport (YPK) coordinates noise mitigation for aircraft operating to and from Pitt Meadows within a 3 nautical mile radius of the Airport except where such noise is related to aircraft enroute and training operations. Aircraft flying over YPK, or beyond this 3 nautical mile range, are outside the scope of the YPK’s authority.
YPK has introduced the Fly YPK Neighbourly Program to proactively assist in educating airport operators and the surrounding community with the idea of building awareness and reducing the amount of aircraft disturbances in the area.
Please note that Pitt Meadows Regional Airport Authority does not have jurisdiction over training zones near the airport. Information for Transport Canada can be found here: Transport Canada

Every noise concern submitted through this form is recorded and reviewed as part of YPK’s Noise Management Program. The information is considered with other submissions to identify trends and determine whether further assessment or referral is required.
Submitting a concern does not normally result in an individual investigation or response. We will contact you only if we need additional information or if your concern requires follow-up under the program.
