  • Over this past summer, YPK it has upgraded all airfield edge lights to LED. LEDs promise lower energy consumption, reduced maintenance, and better visual perception for pilots.

  • Airfield LED lighting upgrades have occurred on the following runways and taxiways at YPK:

    • Apron 1, Taxiway Alpha, Taxiway Bravo, Taxiway Charlie, Taxiway Delta, Taxiway Echo, Runway 18/36
